By contacting the administration, legal assistance in civil disputes, certain types of administrative cases and Constitutional Court proceedings may be obtained by a person* who:
has acquired the status of a poor or low-income household (confirmed by a certificate issued by the Social Service; to obtain it, you must contact the Social Service at your place of residence);
has suddenly found themselves in a situation and financial circumstances that prevent them from protecting their rights (due to natural disasters, force majeure, or other circumstances beyond their control, such as violence);
is fully dependent on state or municipal support (as confirmed by a certificate issued by the head of the institution).
Partial state-provided legal aid for certain types of civil cases (falling within the jurisdiction of the Economic Court, arising from contract law, where the amount of the claim exceeds EUR 150,000, for the protection of commercial secrets against unlawful acquisition, use and disclosure) may be obtained by persons:
whose income does not exceed the minimum monthly wage set by the state;
whose property status is appropriate for receiving legal aid.
Whistleblowers can receive state-provided legal aid without their financial situation being assessed.
